The BYD Atto 3 Evo electric crossover has been unveiled, promising a powerful and efficient driving experience for global markets. With an 800V high-voltage system, 4WD, and faster charging capabilities, it's set to revolutionize the electric vehicle market. The Atto 3 Evo accelerates to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds and charges from 10 to 80% in a mere 25 minutes at DC stations.
This new generation of the Atto 3 model, which was first introduced four years ago, has undergone a substantial power and range boost. The Atto 3 Evo features a new 800V high-voltage system and a larger 74.88 kWh battery pack, resulting in a range of up to 510 km under CLTC conditions. The entry-level version boasts a single e-motor in the rear axle, producing 230 kW (308 hp) and 380 Nm, which is 107 hp more than the current Atto 3.
One of the key improvements is the move of the e-motor from the front to the rear axle, reducing the Atto 3 Evo's RWD acceleration time to 5.5 seconds. The all-wheel drive version, on the other hand, delivers an impressive 330 kW (443 hp) and 580 Nm, achieving a zero-to-hundred acceleration time of 3.9 seconds. This variant offers an even more impressive range of up to 510 km.
Despite the significant technological advancements, the Atto 3 Evo's exterior design remains largely unchanged, with subtle modifications such as the charging port relocated to the rear fender. The dimensions of the new model are 4455/1875/1615 mm with a wheelbase of 2,720 mm, and it now features a spacious 101-liter frunk. The interior is equally impressive, featuring a stalk gear shifter, a 15.6-inch touchscreen, an 8.8-inch LCD instrument cluster, a wireless charging pad, and an enlarged trunk capacity of 490 liters.
